Higher Levels of Support

As a continuing care retirement community, Carol Woods offers independent living, assisted living, assisted nursing and a Medicare-certified skilled nursing facility.

Known internationally as a model for innovative and comprehensive healthcare, Carol Woods prides itself on supporting resident autonomy and maximizing quality of life in higher levels of support. Residents move into Carol Woods while they are still independently living and then have access to supportive living as they need it.

Assisted Living

Assisted living is available to Carol Woods residents who need help with activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing and medication management. We have two distinct assisted living options, both offering private accommodations with a full bath, three meals a day in any dining room on campus, and healthcare through our clinic and off-hours nurse emergency home visits. Many gardening opportunities are available, and pets are welcome.

Central Assisted Living features an apartment-like setting located in the center of campus. This building also houses a satellite fitness center, salon and the Gallery 5 art exhibit space.

Garden Assisted Living features family-style living with private rooms and shared common spaces. Because this building can accommodate those needing assisted living and assisted nursing care, residents are welcome to remain in their apartment as their needs change to higher levels of support.

Skilled Nursing

The Carol Woods Health Center is most known for its unique residential atmosphere. Rooms are clustered together to form small neighborhoods, each designed to include five private and one semiprivate room, a sitting area and a dining room. Residents enjoy the comfort of their own furniture and decor. Meals are served from a buffet cart, part of the Dining Delights program whereby residents make their own selections at the time a meal is served.
