CROP WALK
This is the first notice for the Crop Walk that will begin at the Carrboro Town Commons at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 21. Many churches and other organizations in Chapel Hill support this effort to alleviate hunger both locally and nationally. Those wishing to give a donation could split their gift, helping Carol Woods be well represented as a supporter. Volunteers to walk the route from Carrboro Commons, through parts of Chapel Hill and back, are welcome.

Our St. Patrick's Day meeting features an exceptional program from Dr. David Eckerman of the Apple Store staff. David is also a UNC Professor Emeritus of Psychology.
Dr. Eckerman has designed his presentation "Simplifying the Connection" to demonstrate and help us understand the various assistive technologies available to Mac users. These Universal Access capabilities include features that deal with Vision, Hearing, and Dexterity/Motor issues. David's goal is to encourage members of our Carol Woods group both to use these capabilities to make our experiences easier and to assist our friends who might be helped by these features. It will also be interesting just to learn what new techniques are available.
Any interested residents, both Mac and PC users, are encouraged to attend this informative meeting.
- 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM HAPPY HOUR (Building 6)
- 7:30 PM WEDNESDAY EVENING CONCERT (Assembly Hall) Karen Allred, pianist, Edith Gettes, violinist, and Jason Thomas, cellist will perform jointly and separately, bringing us music by J.S. Bach, Chopin, Dvorak and Schoenfield. This trio has delighted us last season. You don't want to miss this concert.
