Carol Woods' approach to well-being is to recognize that each resident has unique physical, social, emotional, spiritual, cultural and intellectual well-being needs. As a continuing care retirement community, Carol Woods offers independent apartments and cottages, assisted living apartments, two assisted living houses, and a Medicare-certified skilled nursing facility. All residents must move to Carol Woods while they are still independent, and then have access to supportive living as they need it.
Carol Woods aspires to a non-medical model of care for its residents, focusing on an appreciation of the life work of each resident and attention to each resident’s sense of purpose and enjoyment of life. In addition, Carol Woods offers quality medical practice, social work, and nursing care as touchstones of our service agreement and practice. Carol Woods aspires to integrate the medical care of its residents with their non-medical needs in an unobtrusive way.
Carol Woods takes a preventative approach to health care, a cornerstone of which is our on-site clinic that is staffed by Board Certified Geriatricians.
